San Jose Museum of Art Education Programs aim to stimulate widespread interest in contemporary art, as well as aid art-enthusiasts and the general public alike, in gaining an insight into themselves and the world around them. A special emphasis is placed on providing innovative interpretation of exhibitions; developing new audiences; providing creative educational opportunities for youth and adults; and acting as an educational resource for the community.
For local youth SJMA features a variety of fun and educational programs: for young children and teens; within the SJMA galleries and at local schools; for individuals and school groups. SJMA also offers extensive teacher programs and art-related resource materials.
