Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Daycare Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of children in our daycare facility. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young minds.
Responsibilities:
Support Lead Teacher: Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that align with the daycare's educational philosophy.
Supervision of Children: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other activities.
Assist with Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behavior management and promoting cooperation among children.
Individualized Support: Provide individualized attention to children who may require additional assistance or have special needs, ensuring their integration into the daycare setting.
Communication with Parents: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on a child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and secure environment for all children.
Materials Preparation: Assist in preparing and organizing educational materials, supplies, and resources for daily activities.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in early childhood education is a plus.
Previous experience working in a daycare or educational setting with young children.
Understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Mandarin speaking is a plus.
Any additional relevant certifications in early childhood education would be advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $18-20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
