Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer mechanical hardware along with aesthetic solutions
- Establish initial design concepts and formulate product frameworks
- Source and provide support for prototype models
- Assist in refining and enhancing both existing and new designs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to outline product specifications
- Aid in the generation and release of the Bill of Materials (BoM)
Required Competencies
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Background in class A surfaces within industrial design
- Mastery in CAD with a particular emphasis on surfacing techniques
- Minimum of 3 years in an in-depth product design role
- Stellar CAD sculpting abilities, including intricate surfacing and surface analysis
- Familiarity and experience with Pdmlink/ Arena
- Knowledge and experience in GD&T and the release of 2D drawings
- Familiarity with vendor FAI/CPK dimensional reporting
- Hands-on experience in addressing DFM issues with external suppliers
Desirable Competencies
- Profound experience in utilizing CAD for product design, managing requirements, and monitoring and - solving problems and resolutions
- Capability to cooperate with various departments in a cross-functional manner to realize product objectives
- Proven mechanical and manufacturing process experience with a practical approach to engineering development
- Willingness and ability to travel.
