Prince of Peace Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a detail oriented QA/QC Technician to join our team at the headquarters in Livermore, CA. Just outside San Francisco, our 153,000-square-foot warehouse and headquarters office building is accessible to San Francisco, San Jose, and the greater East Bay area.
As a QA/QC Technician, you are responsible for assisting in food safety audits, performing inspections, identifying defects, documenting findings to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. You are also the product quality gatekeeper for the company.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
● Assist in implementing and maintaining documentation, manuals, policies, and procedures related to food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, regulatory audits, food safety training programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), product inspections, and standardized work instructions.
● Support and assist QA Manager with the site Food Safety Plan.
● Monitor product food safety and quality throughout the packaging process.
● Ensure documentation and results are recorded accurately and are up to date.
● Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
● Record test result, defects, and non-conformance findings in detailed reports and logs.
● Perform inspections of products and equipment to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and specific customer and company food safety policies and regulations.
● Ensure employees are following all Food Safety, and worker safety practices, work with the production team, and report findings of product quality to the QA Manager.
● Support and assist QA Manager with training for employees on food safety, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP), etc.
● Participate in ongoing, required food safety and organic-related training.
● Full support and participation during all food safety audits.
● Encourage and build a strong Food Safety Culture across the company.
● Other duties as required to support team in achieving department goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
● 1-2 years of experience in Food Quality Control or similar role in production is preferred.
● Food science-related education and background is preferred.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Google Workspace.
● Familiarity with quality control tools and equipment, as well as testing procedures and standards.
● Effective problem solver with the ability to work independently.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues effectively.
● Good verbal and written communication skills.
● Knowledgeability with food safety, HACCP,GMP, USDA, FDA, and working with state and third-party inspection is preferred.
● HACCP or PCQI certification is preferred, though not required.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus.
