A fast-growing junior fashion clothing company in LA is seeking a Textile Print Design Developer to join the team.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for all aspects of the print development process including trend research, print designing, print element sketching, print element arrangement, writing print development detail tech files, and ensuring that print artwork is designed to meet the customer's profile and business strategy for the brand.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Print design/development support
Market research
Design prints
Meet with Designers/Design Manager to select prints for the season
Print element sketching using Illustrator or Photoshop
Writes print tech files with detailed instructions of artwork
Provide colors Pantone codes for each print artwork
Keep print development on track and in line with the development schedule
Check strike-off and comments
Check print samples and comments
Assist Designer/Design Manager
Flat sketching using Illustrator
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
College degree in Textile Print Design or Fashion Design
2-4 years minimum previous print development experience
Strong computer skills in Illustrator and Photoshop
Strong organization, time management and communication skills
Multi-task and Team player
Computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
Have a sense for implementation and have innovative ideas
Bilingual (fluent in English and Chinese- both speaking and writing)
Knowledge: garment construction, fabrics
